Am in gradina niste rosii asa gustoase, dulci si zemoase.
- 1/2 ceapa, tocata
- 100 ml ulei (1/2 cana)
- 400 ml suc de rosii (2 cani)
- 200 ml apa (o cana)
- 250 ml apa
- sare, piper dupa gust
- 10 rosii, medii
Amesteca din cand in cand. Potriveste de sare si piper.
- In timp ce umplutura fierbe, pregateste rosiile.

English version
In my garden I have a lot of sweet and juicy tomatoes. This time I stuffed them with some chicken meat. But you can use any meat you like.
Ingredients for 5 persons:
- 200 g chicken breast, boneless, grounded
- 100 g rice
- 1 / 2 onion, chopped
- 100 ml oil (1 / 2 cup)
- 400 ml tomato juice (2 cups)
- 200 ml water (one cup)
- 250 ml water
- salt and black pepper to taste
- 10 tomatoes, medium
How to:
- In a pan heat the oil, then gently fry the onion until it becomes translucent (not burned!)
- Add ground meat and stir over medium heat until the juices have evaporated. Put rice and water. Mix and let simmer until all water is absorbed, and the rice is half cooked. If it is not, add some more water and simmer until it is half cooked.
- Add 200 ml of tomato juice and let simmer until it is reduced. Stir occasionally. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- While the stuffing boils, prepare the tomatoes. With a sharp knife cut a cap. With a teaspoon remove the seeds and everything that is inside the tomato. .
- Fill tomatoes with meat (I made double batch, so i stuffed baby bell peppers too). Place stuffed tomatoes side by side in a skillet / pan. Pour over the remaining 200 ml tomato juice (you can put more if you like).
- Cover the pan with a lid or aluminum foil and put it over low heat for 20 minutes, or until rice is completely cooked. If the sauce reduces a lot, you can add a little water
- Serve tomatoes stuffed with meat, sprinkled with some fresh herbs and a teaspoon of yogurt.
I hope you will like it.
